I think this chase stands out because there is no score accopanying the chase. there is the famous Bullitt music leading up to the chase but then all you hear is those engines which sound like God shouting. It is one of the most visceral chases I have seen

I always loved the chase in The Dead Pool.You've got to love it when one of the cars is a toy.

Ronin and The Bourne movies were the first two/three to come to my mind as well...

And, as stupid of a movie as it was, I liked the car race scenes in The Fast and the Furious, just because of the special effects with the nitrous tanks, etc., however believable/unbelievable they may have been. Never saw the sequel.

Also, the BMW sequences in the series of short films with Clive Owen, The Driver, were fantastic...
